The Model EMS600 provides continuous, low maintenance, precision measurement of mg/m3, Optical Density and Opacity in industrial applications. 


       

It is a cost-effective instrument that serves as an aid in operating pollution and/or process control equipment. The EMS600 system consists of an optical transceiver mounted on one side of the stack and a retro reflector mounted on the other. The LSEM (Light Source Electronic Modulation) measurement beam is projected across the stack to a retro reflector, which reflects it back across the stack. The output of the transceiver is transmitted to the microprocessor RCU where signals are analyzed. The display has a split screen to read 0-100% Opacity and 0-2000 mg.



The EMS600's ratio-measurement technique provides continuous automatic compensation for variations in light source intensity to ensure prolonged instrument accuracy and stability. Because the EMS600 is insensitive to the absolute intensity of the light source, it is not affected by light source aging.
